WHO ARE WE?
Formed in 2000, Saturday Players is a group of people dedicated to making the theater fun again.
Our maiden production, Trey Parker's Cannibal! The Musical Live On Stage,
ran for five months in the spring/summer of 2001 as a late-night Downtown show. The production received rave reviews across the board -- from Billboard Magazine to The Village Voice to Ben Brantley of the New York Times -- and firmly established us as a company to watch.
2002's
Love In Pieces
received its New York debut as the troupe's sophomore effort, presented as part of The New York International Fringe Festival -- FringeNYC -- a presentation of The Present Company.
Saturday
Players continued it's Fringe Festival
tradition with 2003's UNIDENTIFIED:
The Farmington Armada, a
science-fiction anthology compiled,
adapted and directed by Artistic
Director Lisa Gardner with contributions
from ten different writers from around
the country.
